Q: What are Native Instruments STEMS?
A: STEMS is an open multi-track audio format, which enhances creative possibilities for DJs, producers, and live performers. A Stem file contains a track split into four musical elements, such as: 1. Drums; 2. Bassline; 3. Melody; and 4. Vocal
The Stem format provides the ability to freely interact with a track’s different musical elements. Each ‘stem’ can be controlled independently to create instant new mixes, mashups, instrumentals, acapellas, and more. If you have not done so already, you can download the Stems Creator Tool HERE
If you wish to deliver a Stems release then please mail-to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: How can i get my release featured on Beatport or major stores?
A: At present the main turn day for banners and features at Beatport is on Friday. This includes both the main Beatport homepage and individual genre landing pages. They do sometimes update Monday, however this is dependent on what releases are out that week. Due to the sheer number of releases that come out everyweek, it is becoming increasingly difficult for artists to get their releases featured by Beatport or major stores.
The overall decision on which of these tracks get a feature is in the hands of genre managers at Beatport. If your release has great feedback and support from World renowed DJs, great looking art work and is a big release in general then you get your release forward for feature consideration.

However, the Beatport Top 100 charts get updated every day based on the sales of the last 7 days.
